Fun Fair - The Old Post Fun Fair is like a fun carnival! Bring the whole family and enjoy! There are bounce houses, many games such as ring toss, bozo Buckets, and the cake walk! And don't forget the raffles..Mom and Dad enter to win some great adult prizes by participating in the adult raffles. KIDS have raffles too!! Win a class basket and kids make sure to put your used ticked stubs in the teacher buckets to win extra time with your favorite teacher! How to make this a successful event?? Volunteers are needed to coordinate and manage planning, set-up, running activities, concessions, clean-up, and obtaining donations from parents and from area businesses for prizes.
Wildcat Holiday Shop (aka: Lil Elves Christmas Workshop) – A holiday gift store for children to purchase small gifts for their family. Children get the independence (with help from our helpers) to choose gifts for their family! Our little elves help your child wrap their gifts so they are ready to put under the tree! There is also Pictures with Santa and a section where mom and dad can shop fopr grown-up gifts and enjoy some hot coco and coffee..How to make this a successful event?? Volunteers needed to contact suppliers, order merchandise, set-up, take-down, and coordinate volunteers to man sale tables and assist young shoppers as they shop for, purchase and wrap their gifts.
Box Tops - Committee coordinates box top/soup labels contests; collect, cut/trim and submit to fundraising sponsor. (2 events, 1 in fall and 1 in spring)
Summer Celebration – Plan and coordinate volunteers to provide an end of the year celebration for the 5th grade students at Old Post. (End of school year - May)
Reflections - A national Art Contest - Reflections Contest organize, promote, and submit entries.
Spirit Wear - Create, organize and distribute the spirit wear items for Old Post School. Work with the vendor creating items and promote items at school events.
Lego Robotics - Work with Old Post Students creating an identified robotics project for the year. Get the kids ready for the anual competition.
5th Grade Social - Help send our 5th Graders off in style! A small event held during the school day for our 5th graders. Games, photo booth, and the presenting of the Old Post Pennant. Committee chair organizes volunteers, creates, and orders the pennant.
Teacher Appreciation - Help show our Old Post Staff how AWESOME they are! Coordinate and organize donations of food and supplies.

YEAR BOOK - Volunteers assist Yearbook Club in coordinating photography, layout, sales, delivery, distribution, and candid photos.
Pencil Grams and Scholarships – Pencil grams are special notes from parents to their child sent through the office with a pencil attached. Committee members coordinate the sale of pencil grams at special events and during holidays. PTA offers a scholarship to OHS and OEHS students. Committee is responsible for collecting and reviewing submitted applications.
Party Parents – Committee coordinates extracurricular parent volunteering in the classroom and party parents throughout the year. (Halloween, Holiday, and Valentines Parties)
Family Fun Nights – Organize periodic activities for Old Post families to come together as a community for fun (i.e. BINGO night and Movie nights).
Parent Ed./Character Counts – Promotes and organizes activities with the Character Counts motto of Old Post. Committee assists with educating parents on the students’ experiences.
Father’s Forum – Committee is comprised of Old Post fathers that coordinate activities specifically involving Old Post students and their fathers. Activities include the Daddy Daughter Dance, Doughnuts with Dad as well as various service projects for maintaining the school’s landscaping and fun fair games.Parent Ed./Character Counts – Promotes and organizes activities with the Character Counts motto of Old Post. H.O.P.E. - (Helping Old Post Families Everyday) Committiee chair works with Old Post Staff who have identified families in need of support. Coordinates donations and works to get family to get them what they need.
Boosterthon - Help to organize our annual fundraiser for Old Post. Lost of fun for all!
Daddy Daughter Dance - Help to organize and plan a special night for our Old Post Daddys & Daughters.

General Helping Hands – Committee of volunteers available to assist at school functions. Periodically, volunteers may be called on to assist with distribution of sportswear, fundraising activities, and assisting PTA during special events held at the school.
Donating Baked Goods – Volunteers needed to donate baked goods for the Special Events Committee to provide as refreshments at various school/PTA functions. Look for the Signup Genius links!!
